My name is Andrew S. MacIntyre and I provide professional real estate services to buyers and sellers in the Pittsburgh area. My experience and knowledge of residential construction and various technologies help me significantly in providing a valuable service to my real estate clients.
My decision to become a Realtor started with a 1985 visit to Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. During that trip and subsequent others, I studied the architecture and construction of the town and fell in love with how it was built. My interest heightened as I collected and read numerous books on architecture and construction and visited many open houses of new and existing construction in the Pittsburgh area. I then went to college and obtained a degree in Building Construction Technology. During and after college, I worked with a well known and respected builder in the North Hills of Pittsburgh building 18th-Century reproduction quality homes. While I worked in the residential construction field, I began to realize that my interest in 18th-Century architecture and construction wasn’t being fulfilled at the production level required to succeed in the industry. As a result, I chose to end my work in the residential construction field and enjoy my 18th-Century interests of architecture and construction as a hobby.
I entered into the wide world of real estate in September of 2000 working with a large corporate real estate company. Over the years I realized the limiting factors involved with working with such a large company. My clients and I were both at the short end of the stick when it came down to getting the job done in an efficient and profitable manner. I decided to change all of that when I joined Achieve Realty.
